​Painting With A Twist-Melbourne will donate 100% of your registration fee for this class to Stella Maris Environmental Research. All money raised will go toward the development and support of our nature education program geared toward parents and children. The program is called Stella's Eco and Science Explorers. Stella Maris Environmental Research is supporting the removal of invasive Lion Fish from our Atlantic waters. A Chef's cook-off will decide who wins for the best tasting Lion Fish recipe.  The number of Lion Fish will be bigger and greater than last year!

It's that time of year, school is out and the sun is up! Check out our Eco camp tab for more information about our Eco Camp. Wesley's Best Eco Camp is actually on an island found within the Ft. Pierce Inlet region. Summer camp will involve getting "in the thick of nature" including: paddleboarding, kayaking, seine netting, and exploring.  All necessary information can be found under the camp tab.

"Egg-celent Marine Life" Eco art and plaster activity!

Unlike the "Easter Bunny" lots of incredible creatures under the sea actually do lay eggs! Join Stella Maris Environmental Research Executive Director Ashley Miller to learn about the life histories of marine invertebrates and paint a marine life plaster. Material cost $7 per plaster. Creature Fest

Saturday come out and join us to experience a creepy crawley event!
We will have a table set up for using microscopes to examine plankton and other organisms. There will also be a presentation on vermiculture, what is that you ask? Come check out how worms make your food scraps into compost!
International Coastal Clean up Day
September 17, 8am-10am: Event Completed-Floridana beach Access
Saturday come out and join us to clean up our local beaches! 
Show your community that every piece of trash picked up is one less bird, turtle, or sea creature affected by litter! The person with the most of trash gets a free shirt from Stella Maris Environmental Research!
Please bring your water bottle, clean up bags and guests to help! Clean up bags can be provided if needed.

Come out and join "Yoga With Dee Dee" at the Live Longer Medical Wellness Center. Classes are Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:30am. Donations support local marine research.

Fall 2016
Keep on the lookout for dates rolling along for our Elasmobranch research. We are partnering up with St. Andrew's Episcopal Academy in Ft. Pierce and the event will be held on their campus. 
Treasure Coast Lion fish Safari

Stella Maris Environmental Research was helping support the removal of invasive Lion Fish from our Atlantic waters. A Chef's cook-off was successful with Sailfish Brewery taking home the win for best tasting Lion Fish.  The number of Lion Fish removed was incredible!

First Place Most Fish: Tug O' War with 174
First Place Smallest: Team Frapper with a 70 mm Lionfish
First place Largest: Red Dragon with a 410 mm Lionfish
Sebastian Sail & Power Squadron
