Applied Sea Turtle Science
​Welcome to Applied Science: Sea Turtles and Marine Biology! In this engaging and hands-on course, students will dive into the captivating world of sea turtles and explore the fascinating field of marine biology. Through a combination of interactive lectures, laboratory activities, and projects, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the biology, ecology, conservation, and management of sea turtles and their marine habitats.

Hands-On Geology
Examine the processes that shape the Earth, such as plate tectonics, erosion, and volcanic activity. Investigate geological phenomena such as earthquakes, landslides, and rock formations. Learn how different types of rocks, minerals, and fossils are formed. All this and more through fun (and sometimes messy) projects and labs!

Kitchen Chemistry
Discover chemistry through the reactions that occur during cooking. Hands-on experiments demonstrate the properties of different substances – such as acids, bases, and enzymes – and the chemical changes that occur during food preservation and fermentation. Experience how chemistry creates the flavors, colors, and textures we experience in food!
