We have been so excited about our #Flipperfrenzy and thank you for supporting sea turtle research and saving sea turtles. Sometimes there are people in our lives that need support too. Mr. Brian meisenburg isn't some ordinary man and the Meisenburg family isn't your average family. We see this family as a valuable asset to many environmental organizations that support our coastal and marine ecosystems and we are honored to assist this family in their great time of need. Mr. Meisenburg (40yrs old) was having some slight nausea and other non-concerning issues for a few weeks. He was advised to seek some light medical observation and was then admitted to the hospital and given a daunting and extremely surprising diagnosis. Stage 4 metastatic colon cancer that has affected multiple organs including the liver and lungs is the journey this family is faced with. His treatments are extensive and multiple opinions of expertise are needed. As in Meisenburg fashion, this is no ordinary treatment needed. Your registration is $15 and 100% of the proceeds will be given. Options to donate more are available on the website. If you would like to send a check to the family: Melissa or Brian Meisenburg, 5061 Martin Lane, West Melbourne, Fl 32951. if this is your route please let us know so we can send your race information to you.
We know there are many special people who need community support and this is ours. This fundraiser supports a mother of two young and strong boys, a woman who champions for our sea turtles, youth, Indian River Lagoon and environmental future. This supports a man who works as a music teacher connecting the most flexible minds to the beauty of vibrations, sounds and universal language as food for the soul.
*We have 20 medals as a first come basis.
Each participant will receive:
Ashley Chelberg and the Stella Maris team
